Sorry I suggested the 1st submission had a bug if it did not. I persuaded
myself that the second submission was bug free by incorporating your code
and looking at the output of among('' 'a' 'b') etc. Should have done that
with the first.
Tell us when you're ready to hand this work over, since you say you might do
a few more tests.
