[Snowball-discuss] Question about French RV detection

Regarding the RV detection logic in the French stemmer, I have a
question about the last line:

"(Exceptionally, par, col or tap, at the begining of a word is also
taken to be the region RV.)"

So, for the word "paris", does this mean that RV begins at the start
of the word or at the 'i'? The way this is worded, I think RV begins
at the start of the word, but that seems really odd to me.

Thanks,
Blake
